Authentic Andhra Chicken Fry

Again this is a simple but delicious recipe from my in-law. My husband loves this fry. This tastes really good with white rice and pappu pulisu combination. 

 

Ingredients: 
  • Chicken - 1\2kg 
  • Onion - 2 
  • Tomatoes -2
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2Tbsp 
  • Red chili powder - 2Tbsp 
  • Coriander powder - 2 1\2Tbsp 
  • Curry leaves - 2strip 
  • Mustard seeds - 1tsp 
  • Cinnamon - 1inch 
  • Bay leaf - 1 
  • Clove -1 

Masala Powder: 

Coriander seeds - 3Tbsp 
Black Pepper - 2Tbsp 
Poppy seeds(kaskas) - 4Tbsp 
Cinnamon - 1inch 


Preparation:
  • Dry roast the coriander seeds, black pepper, poppy seeds, cinnamon. cool and grind as fine powder
  • In a large bowl or pressure pan add 1glass of water and add chicken, red chilli powder, coriander powder, Onion and tomatoes.
  • Cook untill the chicken becomes very soft.
  • Heat 3Tbsp of oil in large deep tawa or pan and add mustard seeds, cinnamon, bay leaf, curry leaves, ginger garlic paste, saute it for 2mins in medium flame.
  • Add the cooked chicken and add the grinded masala powder with little bit of water(when you cook the chicken in pressure pan, it will leave some water)
  • Cook until the water is drained and the chicken becomes as dry consistency.
  • Serve it hot with white rice or roti or bread.

Hi, I loved your recipe. Me and my wife are trying it right now. Just one thing,,,you have not mentioned at what time we must add salt. Can you please throw some light on it?
