Paneer Masala

Paneer is been one of the favorite ingredients for quite a long time. But haven't tried any dishes at home. So planned to try the dish.

Ingredients:
Paneer - 1cup
Onions - 1finely minced or grinded
Onions - 2 diced
Tomatoes - 6
Ginger Garlic paste - 2tsp
Green chilli - 1
Fenugreek seeds - 1/2tsp
Red chilli powder - 1tsp
Turmeric Powder -1/2tsp
Boiled Milk - 1cup
Butter - 2Tbsp
Oil
Honey - 1tbsp
Coriander leaves

For grinding:
Cashews - 10
Cumin seeds - 1tsp
Coriander seeds - 2tbsp
Cloves - 1
Cinnamon - 1/2 inch
Cardamon - 1

Procedure:

  • Roast the cashews,cumin seeds, coriander seeds in a dry pan and grind them with cardamom & Cinnamon to fine powder.keep them aside
  • Boil all the tomatoes for 5mins, dip them into cool water . Remove the skins and grind them.
  • Soak the paneer in boiled water, this will make the paneer to soften.
  • In a pan heat the butter, roast fenugreek seeds till they are brown.
  • Add minced onions, green chillies and diced onions. Fry till they become brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Saute it for 2min.
  • Add grinded cashew masala with salt.
  • Fry the masala till become sticky.
  • Add tomato puree.
  • Cook the gravy for 5mins.
  • Add paneer, boiled milk and honey.
  • Cook them in low flame for 3min.
  • Garnish with coriander leaves.
  • Serve with rotis.
Note:
You can also add fresh cream for garnishing and add sugar instead of honey.
